Fifth grade students will learn more about Tomahawk Middle School during a series of orientations in early May. Each day, one fifth grade class will have a tour of the middle school, eat lunch in the cafeteria and have a short recess. They will also have a question-and-answer session with the principal(s), counselors and current sixth grade students:

Friday, May 3 - Lincoln County Partners in Education (LCPIE), Tomahawk Elementary and St. Mary’s schools will host the first Careers on Wheels Friday, May 3 at Tomahawk Elementary School. Careers on Wheels is an event where children learn about different kinds of careers involving vehicles. Businesses were invited to partake in the event and bring hands-on experiences to the students. Activities will run from 9 to 11 a.m. Third grade students from Tomahawk Elementary and St. Mary’s schools will attend. The students will be divided into groups and rotated through each employer every 10 minutes. Businesses will explain what their job is and how they use a vehicle/equipment to do their job. |

Monday-Friday, May 6-10 - THS Appreciation Week. Next week is THS appreciation week - a time for students, faculty and staff to appreciate those who make a positive difference in our school and daily lives. On Friday, May 10, from 1-3:30, faculty have arranged for fun activities for both students and staff to participate in together. Some activities will require advanced registration, while others will allow for students to rotate through a variety of events and locations. Students- please review the activities posted on the yearbook bulletin board between the school store and the HS office (Across from Student Services) and sign up for any activates you are interested in that require pre-registration. If you have questions, please contact the faculty associated with the event listed on the flyer. Yearbooks will be distributed in the school store on Friday during normal lunch periods as well.
Wednesday, May 8 - The senior art students will have an art show on May 8th from 3:45-6:00 in the High School Art Gallery. The gallery is located near the High School Cafeteria. Featured artists include Jacob Ungerer, Camilla Meyer, Brittany Walker, Alex Kuehn, Danielle Kubitschek, Tim Stefanich and Deanna Rigney. The students will be serving refreshments and displaying their artistic talents!
