Libraries Rock!” is the theme for the 2018 Children’s Summer Library Program June 18 through July 27 at the Tomahawk Public Library. Events are at 10:30 a.m. and include:
•Tuesday, July 10 – “Rock n’ Read” Storytime (Make some noise). Storytime fun for little ones.
•Friday, July 13 – “School-age Rocks.” Fun activities for school-age kids.
•Tuesday, July 17 – Special presentation with Magic Morgan & Liliana. They will amaze and astound you, make you laugh, and make your wonder. Their show is full of moments that take your breath away. Objects seem to appear from nowhere and defy gravity. The presentation is open to everyone.
•Tuesday, July 24 – “Rock n’ Read” Storytime (Move!). Storytime fun for little ones.
•Friday, July 27 – “School-age Rocks.” Fun activities for school-age kids. Extras include the Wisconsin Woodchucks Reading Program and anytime activities at the library throughout the program.

Teen Summer Library Program
The library also has a Teen Reading Raffl e for middle school and high school students through July 27. Read great books this summer and earn a chance to win prizes. Fill out a raffl e ticket for each book you read; listening to an audiobook counts, too. Tickets are available in the library’s Teen Zone and at the front desk. Tickets can be turned in through July 28. The drawing for prizes will be held after July 28.

7-26-20187-30-2018DSTVolleyball Summer Skills Camp begins July 26
Beginners and the experienced alike are invited to take part in the Northern Wisconsin Volleyball Club’s Girls Volleyball Summer Skills Camp taking place July 26-27 and July 30-31.
The camp focuses on developing all volleyball skills with proper technique emphasized.
The July 26-27 camp is for players in grade four through eight (the grade they will be in the fall) and runs each day at the Hatchet Fieldhouse from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $95. The second camp for grades 9-12 on July 30-31 also runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the fi eldhouse and cost is $125. Camp fee includes free beverages and snacks (bring own lunch) as well as a camp T-Shirt.

The Tomahawk High School Guidance Office reminds students of the Lincoln County Retired Educators Association Scholarship that will be given to a THS graduate majoring in education, accepted into the School of Education, and in his/her junior or senior year of college who intends to teach in the State of Wisconsin.
